NON-STRUCTURAL DAMAGE
DEBRIS REMOVAL
If your property does not have structural damage or if you are dealing with personal items, vegetation, and landscape debris, you can begin the cleanup without requiring any inspections or permits. This includes:
Burned or damaged personal items

Burned vegetation and landscape debris

Debris from small structures under 120 square feet (e.g., pool houses, gazebos, sheds, and decks) where a demolition permit is not required by the local building authority

Important Note:
You can proceed with the removal of these items as long as:

-
The structures did not contain hazardous materials such as paint, pesticides, herbicides, propane, or similar hazardous waste.

STRUCTURAL DAMAGE
DEBRIS REMOVAL
If your property has structural damage or destroyed structures caused by fire, there are strict regulations in place to ensure safe and compliant debris removal. Before we can begin the cleanup, the following steps are required by Los Angeles County:

-
Obtain an Asbestos Report:
Property owners must first obtain an Asbestos Report from a Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC). This report ensures that the debris is free from asbestos contamination, protecting both workers and the environment.
âž” A list of certified consultants can be found here.
 -
Debris Inspection and Fire Debris Approval Certificate:
Once the asbestos report is ready, you’ll need to schedule an inspection with LA County Public Works. After inspection, you’ll receive a Fire Debris Approval Certificate. Only after obtaining the Fire Debris Approval Certificate can we begin removing structural debris.
 -
Approved Landfill Disposal:
All structural debris must be taken to approved landfills. We will handle this for you, ensuring that everything is properly transported and disposed of, and we will provide all necessary documentation, including dump receipts and disposal reports.
